<p n="125">Damages and Costs by the Sum of £323.3.4 And<lb></lb>
That Your Petitioner on or about the 12th. say of February 1782 by Virtue of<lb></lb>
certain other Orders of Sessions did receive of the said Chamber of London the said<lb></lb>
Sum of £18,650.16.8 and more towards his said Damages and Costs</p>
<p n="126">That he has never since received any further Payment or Satisfaction for the same<lb></lb>
and that there is now jusly due owing and unpaid to your said Petitioner for the<lb></lb>
Remainder of his said Damages and Costs so recovered by him as aforesaid the said<lb></lb>
sum of £323.3.4 which your Petitioner apprehends and submits to this Court he is<lb></lb>
now legally and justly entitled to be paid and to have the said levied and<lb></lb>
collected for him by a Rate on the Inhabitants of the said City according to the Prisoners<lb></lb>
made and the directions contained in the said several Acts of Parliament and<lb></lb>
particularly the Act made and passed in the 1st. Year of the Reign of his Late Majesty<lb></lb>
King George the 1st Intitled an Act for preventing Tumults and riotous Assemblies<lb></lb>
"and for the more speedy and effectual punishing the Rioters"</p>
<p n="127">That your Petitioner is informed that your Lordship and Worships are now for the<lb></lb>
benefit and relief of certain other Persons who sustained Damages by the Rioters in<lb></lb>
June 1780 proceeding to make a Rate on the Inhabitants of the said City for<lb></lb>
paying and satisfying to them the Amount of their Damages and Costs of Suit<lb></lb>
sustained by such Riots</p>
<p n="128">Your Petitioner therefore humbly requests and entreats that your<lb></lb>
Lordship and Worships will include the said £323.3.4 in the said<lb></lb>
Orders and Rates now about to be, made and lesied and immediately<lb></lb>
cause the said £323.3.4 to be raised lesied and collected on the<lb></lb>
Inhabitants of the said <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15093_geo117">City of London</rs>
<interp inst="LMSLPS15093_geo117" type="placeName" value="City of London"></interp>
<interp inst="LMSLPS15093_geo117" type="type" value="undefined"></interp>
and to be afterwards paid to<lb></lb>
your Petitioner as the Person intitled thereto and that the same may be<lb></lb>
raised levied collected and paid in such manner and from and by such<lb></lb>
Ways and means as are mentioned and expressed in the several Statutes<lb></lb>
and Acts in that behalf made and provided And that you will be<lb></lb>
pleased to make issue and grant such Precept and Precepts Order and<lb></lb>
Orders of Sessions for the Purposes aforesaid as to your Lordship and<lb></lb>
Worships shall seem meet Or that your Lordship and Worships will<lb></lb>
order and direct the Payment of the said £323.3.4 to your<lb></lb>
Petioner by any such other ways and means as you shall think<lb></lb>
proper and adviseable</p>
