more)out of the Chariot of the said Robert Nixon which the same Chariot<lb></lb>

the said James Potts had stolen the said Great Coatd the said James Potts<lb></lb>
being asked to entest in the East India Companys Service as a Soldier<lb></lb>
he then declined and he was thereupon immediately ordered to be Committed<lb></lb>
to the Compter and this Deponent together with <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15087_n263-11">John Jennings</rs>

of the said James Potts had sold the Coat as entered into a Recognizance<lb></lb>
to prosecute the said James Potts for stealing the said Coat And this Deponent<lb></lb>
saith that Immediately after the said Recognizance was so entered into<lb></lb>
and withing a very little time after the said James Potts was so ordered to<lb></lb>
be committed to the Compter as aforesaid he the said James Potts having<lb></lb>
signified his Desire of Entering into the East India Company's Service as a<lb></lb>
Soldiers he the said James Potts was again brought before the Lord Mayor<lb></lb>
when the said James Potts was ordered to Enlist in the East India Companys<lb></lb>
Service as a Soldier and was thereupon immediately ordered on board a Ship<lb></lb>
for that purpose And this Deponent further Saith that on Saturday the<lb></lb>

he this Deponent Received a Letter<lb></lb>
from Mr. Reynolds the Clerk of the Astains purporting that the said<lb></lb>
Recognizance so entered into as aforesaid would be Estreated into the<lb></lb>
Exchange for Default of this Deponent And the said John Jennings and<lb></lb>

Condition of the said Recognizance Whereupon this Deponent went to the said Mr.<lb></lb>
Reynolds and informed him of the several Circumstances aforesaid a ponesh<lb></lb>
the said Mr Reynolds declared that if this Deponent would get a Certificates<lb></lb>
from the Lord Mayor that the said James Potts had entered into the East India<lb></lb>
Companys Service as a Soldiers he the said Mr Reynolds would get the<lb></lb>
Recognizance Discharged on this Deponent paying him the Sum of Twelve</p>
