several Consumers of Barley and Wheat<lb></lb>

That for some time past the common Market<lb></lb>
prices of middling British Wheat and middling British<lb></lb>
Barley at the new Corn Market in Mark Lane have exceeded<lb></lb>
the Sums following to-wit-middling British Wheat<lb></lb>
the Sum of forty Eight Shillings the Quarter and middling<lb></lb>
British Barley the Sum of twenty four Shillings the Quarter<lb></lb>
the Continuance whereof your Petitioners apprehend<lb></lb>
will prove very detrimental to the City in General and<lb></lb>
to your Petitioners in particular</p>
<p n="291">That Your Petitioners are ready to make the<lb></lb>
Truth hereof appear and to prove the same in such manner<lb></lb>
as by the Statutes in that behalf is required</p>
<p n="292">Your Petitioners therefore<lb></lb>
most humbly pray that this Honble<lb></lb>
Court will take their Case into<lb></lb>
Consideration and proceed to examine<lb></lb>
and determine the common Market<lb></lb>
prices of middling British Wheat<lb></lb>
and middling British Barley as the<lb></lb>
same are now and have been lately<lb></lb>
bought and sold in the Markets of<lb></lb>
this City and to certify the same to his<lb></lb>
Majestys Chief Officer and Collector<lb></lb>
of the Customs in such manner as by<lb></lb>
the Statutes in this behalf is required<lb></lb>
and directed</p>
