General Quarter Session of the Peace assembled</p>
<p n="212">The Humble Petition of the Master Wardens<lb></lb>
and Society of Innholders of the City of London on behalf<lb></lb>
of themselves and the rest of the Consumers of Oats within<lb></lb>
the said City of London and the Liberties thereof.</p>

That for some time past the Common Market Price of midling<lb></lb>
English Oats at the New Corn Market in Mark Lane has exceeded the<lb></lb>
Sum of Sixteen Shillings the Quarter, the Continuance whereof your<lb></lb>
Petitioner apprehend must prove very detrimental to the City of London<lb></lb>
in general and to your Petitioners in particular</p>
<p n="214">That your Petitioners are ready to make the truth hereof<lb></lb>
appear and to prove the same in such manner as by the Statutes in<lb></lb>
that behalf is required.</p>
<p n="215">Your Petitioners therefore most humbly<lb></lb>
Pray that this Honourable Court will take their Case<lb></lb>
into Consideration and proceed to examine and<lb></lb>
determine the Common Market Price of Middx English<lb></lb>
Oats as the same is now and hath been lately brought<lb></lb>
and sold in the Markets of this City and to Certify the<lb></lb>
same to his Majestys Chief Officer and Collector of the<lb></lb>
Custome in such manner as by the statutes in this<lb></lb>
behalf is required and directed.</p>
