that two persons unknown to Dept. came to the sd. Mr.<lb></lb>
Laurel's House at Hendon afsd. in Order as Dept. believe<lb></lb>
to break into and robb the same, they having attempted to<lb></lb>
force two of the doors: that Dept. thereupon took a Machel<lb></lb>
charged with Gun Lowder and large Shot and went up<lb></lb>
Stairs with it and fired from a Window of the first<lb></lb>
Story at one of the two persons but it being cloudy<lb></lb>
can not form any Judgment wher. Dept. his him<lb></lb>
or not; that Dept did not hear him cry out nor did Dept.<lb></lb>

little to listen to discover what was the matter: that Dept. heard<lb></lb>

imagined what wd.<lb></lb>
have happened he wod. not have come out and also the same or<lb></lb>
the other person to say, that this was an old Grudge, & that if he<lb></lb>
could have thought wh. wod. have happened that neither wod. he have<lb></lb>
come. That Dept. & Milk in saw the two men aid the deced &<lb></lb>
