<p n="66">Who sayeth that on the 19th. day of June last he this<lb></lb>
Examt. paid at the Bank the Sume of fifty pounds for<lb></lb>
which he this Examt. had a Note made payable to one<lb></lb>

Leckie</rs>

to go to the Bank and receive thirty pounds in<lb></lb>
part of the said Note and bid the said Leckie bring the<lb></lb>
said Note and money to him this Examt. at Robin's<lb></lb>

which the said Leckie did accordingly after<lb></lb>
which this Examt. altered the said Indorsement of<lb></lb>
thirty pounds to the sume of ten pounds And in a short<lb></lb>
time after he this Examt. went to the Bank with the<lb></lb>
said hole and received fifteen pounds more in the Name of<lb></lb>

After which he this Examt. with warm Water and<lb></lb>
other things washed out both the said Indorsment<obscured></obscured>

off the said Note and afterwards gave the said Note to one <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15042_n66-3">Joseph Needham</rs>

fifty pounds tho' this Examt. Knew there was in fact<lb></lb>
but five pounds due on the same the Sume of forty five<lb></lb>
pounds having been reced by the sd Indorsments And<lb></lb>
this Examt. also gave the said <rs type="persName" id="LMSLPS15042_n66-4">Joseph Needham</rs>

fifty pounds in money and desired him to go and buy a<lb></lb>
South Sea Bond which the said Needham did Accordingly<lb></lb>
And this Examt. farther sayeth that the said Note was<lb></lb>
originally No 115 which he this Examt. altered to<lb></lb>
No 119 and farther sayeth that the said Note was dated<lb></lb>
the 19th. day of June 1730 which he this Examt. altered to<lb></lb>
the wth. day of June and also altered the Name of Cole<lb></lb>
to Collet And this Examt. farther sayeth that the said<lb></lb>
Needham was utterly ignorant of the said Note having<lb></lb>
been altered by him this Examt.</p>
