<p n="390">The Said Informant Saith he being a watchman<lb></lb>
was with Mr. Wade ye Constable at Mr. Shepherds<lb></lb>
house a Taverne at ye sign of ye Shepherd in <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15004_geo263">Cheapside</rs>

on Sunday morning last about two a clock being ye 5th: day of<lb></lb>
March instant and going with the Constable into Shepperds<lb></lb>
court went into ye house and saw three men Sitting there<lb></lb>
The Constable asked them what Company there was in<lb></lb>
the house They told him only a person of quality<lb></lb>
and bid ye Constable go up Staires to disturb him if he<lb></lb>
durst. This Informant going up Staires with ye Constable<lb></lb>
saw a person playing upon a harpe and one Mr.<lb></lb>
Cook with a flaske of wine in one hand and a glasse<lb></lb>
in ye other and Mr. Shepperd in bed in ye said roome<lb></lb>
whereupon ye Constable committed ye Musitian and<lb></lb>
Mr. Cook And this Informant going with yr. to <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15004_geo264">the<lb></lb>
Compter</rs>

with ye Constable the Constable knockt Severall times<lb></lb>
at ye door Whereupon a man coming to ye door told<lb></lb>
the Constable that ye master had ye leys up Staires<lb></lb>
and he could not open it and that ye man asked<lb></lb>
Mr. Constable what businesse he had there and the<lb></lb>
Constable commanded in ye Kings name to open<lb></lb>
the door and after it was opened ye Constable met<lb></lb>
with an abusive person in ye house and ordered<lb></lb>
him to be carried to <rs type="placeName" id="LMSLPS15004_geo265">ye Compter</rs>

accordingly Then a drawer coming down staires told<lb></lb>
the Constable that a Lord would speak with him<lb></lb>
above The Constable answered if he had any<lb></lb>
thing to Say to him he might come down if he pleased<lb></lb>
And then ye Lord came down and told ye Constable he<lb></lb>
had but three Servts: with him and he had comitted<lb></lb>
two of ym and commanded him to fetch them out<lb></lb>
or else he would lay him by the heels on munday<lb></lb>
The Constable answered his authority did not extend<lb></lb>
so far. And further Saith not</p>
