in ye Countie of Middx vict taken this<lb></lb>
29th day of Augt: Anno Dui 1692.</p>
<p n="365">This Informant upon his Oath saith, That on ye Munday night yt<lb></lb>
Doctr: Clinch, was Murdered, one Mr Milward and two other<lb></lb>
Psons then unknowne to this Informt: came to his said Master house<lb></lb>
at the Blew Boares Head aforesd in a Coach, and the said two<lb></lb>
Psons went into a Roome of the said house above staires, and the<lb></lb>
said Mr Milward (as this Informts: master and other told this In-<lb></lb>
formant) beate the Coachman, that brought them thither And this Informt: saith that<lb></lb>
the said Milward came into the house but stayed not there,<lb></lb>
and left the two other Psons that came thither wth him behind<lb></lb>
him, and this was betweene seven & Eight of the Clock yt night to ye best of this Informants remembrance And<lb></lb>
this Informant further saith, that about an houre after the said<lb></lb>
Mr Milward retorned againe and brought two<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

wth him in Souldier Habitt and all three of them went into the<lb></lb>
roome to the two other Pson, and the said Milward Stayed not at all<lb></lb>
but went out againe leaveing the two souldiers and ye two other<lb></lb>
men behind, and retorned not againe untill about Eleven of<lb></lb>
the Clock the same Night, and then he brought a Woman<lb></lb>
wth him, and then they stayed a very little while, and went<lb></lb>
away altogether Mr Milward paying the Reckoning, then ye said<lb></lb>
Milward Ordered this Informt: to make him a fire in ye next<lb></lb>
roome by nine of the clock the next Morneing, wch. was done<lb></lb>
accordingly, but the said Milward never came thither as he<lb></lb>
Pmised, and about a fortnight after the two Psons who first came<lb></lb>
wth him as aforesd came to Enquire for him, and said that the said<lb></lb>
Milward pmised to Meete them there or at the Boare and<lb></lb>
Harrow Taverne, then the said two Psons called for a Mugg of<lb></lb>
Beere and paid for it and<del>wch</del>
whilst this informts:<del>went to<lb></lb>
informer his Mistriss that they were there</del>
Mistriss went up to<lb></lb>
informe her son<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
that they were there, wth an, intent to<lb></lb>
have them stopt, they Drank up theire drinke or pte of it & went away,<lb></lb>
And this Informt: further saith that this Day he went to<lb></lb>
Newgate to see one Mr Cole who is a Prisoner there for the<lb></lb>
Murder of Dr Clinch, and doth very well remember that<lb></lb>
