Maketh Oath and saith That on or about the Eighteenth<lb></lb>

was bound by recognizance<lb></lb>
to prosecute at the then next Session the above named<lb></lb>
presence for Stealing a Roasting pig his property and<lb></lb>
this Deponent was also bound to give Evidence against<lb></lb>
him that the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45036_n33-4">John Oakes</rs>

Accordingly go to the Sessions House <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45036_geo27">Clerkenwell Green</rs>

on Tuesday the Twenty first day of April but that after<lb></lb>
making Several Inquiries<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
as to what was to be<lb></lb>
done this Deponent being wholly unacquainted therewith<lb></lb>
and which the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45036_n33-5">John Oakes</rs>

<interp inst="LMOBPS45036_n33-5" type="surname" value="Oakes"></interp>

also appeared to be and<lb></lb>
at last being informed of the Manner of getting the said Bill<lb></lb>
of Indictment prepared and preferred the same the same was according prepared & preferred before the<lb></lb>
Grand Jury at the said Sessions that after this Deponent<lb></lb>
had undergone his Examination before the said Grand Jury<lb></lb>
touching the said pig he enquired what was necessary to<lb></lb>
be done further when one of them observed that he this<lb></lb>
Deponent had done for the present and might then go<lb></lb>
home and wait until he was called upon by the prosecutor<lb></lb>
to give Evidence against the said Richard Macgee and added<lb></lb>
that as he this Deponent was only a Witness he would<lb></lb>
be served with a Subpona or have Sufficient Notice to<lb></lb>
Attend and that in the mean time he need not trouble<lb></lb>
himself further about the Business or used words to that<lb></lb>
or the like Effect whereupon he this Deponent fully<lb></lb>
relying upon what had been so told him by the said</p>
