<p n="357">Who on his Oath Saith That on the Tenth day of January last between<lb></lb>
Eight and Nine O'Clock in the Evening he then being at the house of Mr. Cooper<lb></lb>

was sent for by his wife to come home which<lb></lb>
he did directly, and when he came home he found in his house two men<lb></lb>
and two or three other men standing at his door who brought with them<lb></lb>
four pieces of White and one piece of Pink Stormont Callico and offered to<lb></lb>
Sell the same to him and he bought them for three Guineas and a half of<lb></lb>
the two men who were in the house whose names were Briggs and<lb></lb>
Goldsmith, Then the same two men told this Examinant that they had<lb></lb>
some more to sell and accordingly this Examinant appointed to meet<lb></lb>
them at a room in a Court in <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45035_geo256">East Smithfield</rs>

they were all drinking in one Box together, two of the three men came out to<lb></lb>
the door and told this Examinant that each of them had brought a piece<lb></lb>
and had left them at the room that was appointed And told this Examinant<lb></lb>

had the other pieces too cheap and that the Price of the sd<lb></lb>
must be two Guineas and a half to which he agreed and paid the said<lb></lb>
Goldsmith the money. On the next night he<gap reason="illegible"></gap>

Briggs Goldsmith and three other men at the black horse aforesaid<lb></lb>
then Briggs and Goldsmith came out to the door and told this Examinant<lb></lb>
that they had left five pieces at the room aforesaid at <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45035_geo258">East Smithfield</rs>
