of the Parish desired Deponent<lb></lb>
by Order by The Churchwardens to go with him to<lb></lb>
The Burial Ground of the said Parish he did<lb></lb>
so and on coming to the Shed. Mr. Pinkerton<lb></lb>
opened the Coffin which was nailed downwith<lb></lb>
four Nails and on taking off the Lid discoursed<lb></lb>
a Newborn Male Child wrapped up in a Piece of Flame &<lb></lb>
and upon examining it found a large Contused bound or cut from the<lb></lb>
hind part of the head extending down under the<lb></lb>
chin so as to lay the internal part of the Neck<lb></lb>
intirely open and another large wound not so<lb></lb>
extensive as the other on the left side of the head<lb></lb>
near the Face. and several Habs on the left Cheek<lb></lb>
and the two Bones of the hinder part of the Skull<lb></lb>
were intirely separated from the head and is of<lb></lb>
Opinion that all the before mentioned wounds were<lb></lb>
occasioned by some sharp Instrument is of<lb></lb>
opinion That the Child was full grown and<lb></lb>
born alive and had never been dressed as it did<lb></lb>
not appear<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
to have been born, but a few hours<lb></lb>
before it was killed, Deponent being fully persuaded<lb></lb>
that from every appearance the Child died of a<lb></lb>
violent Death in manner in beforementioned</p>
