came into her Shop between the<lb></lb>
Hours of 12 and 1 o Clock when said Kerby told her that he was<lb></lb>
recommended to her Shop by an Acquaintance who had<lb></lb>
informed him that he might have some very good silk Handkerchiefs<lb></lb>
of herthat she (the Acquaintance) was a little busy or she<lb></lb>
would have come with himthat this Informant then shered<lb></lb>
him some Silk Handkerchiefsthat he asked the Price of them<lb></lb>
that she told him the Price was three shillings and Nine Pence a Piece<lb></lb>
that he then asked to look at some brown thread Stockings which were<lb></lb>
in the Windowthat she shewd them to himthat he asked the Price<lb></lb>
and she told him half a Crown a pairthat he offered five Shillings<lb></lb>
for one Handkerchief and a pair of Stockings which she refused<lb></lb>
that he then said he would bring his Acquaintance with him<lb></lb>
in the Afternoon and went away and this Informant further<lb></lb>
saith that in the Evening of same day between the Hours of<lb></lb>
6 and 7 o Clock as well as she can recollect the said Kirby<lb></lb>
returned with a Woman now present who calls herself <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45031_n1648-3">Ann Shepherd</rs>
