Informant went out for some little time & when he<lb></lb>
returned again ward Informed that an attempt had<lb></lb>
been made to pick the said Grace Tathams pocket<lb></lb>
and that she had a Bank note therein that upon<lb></lb>
this Informant entering his House he met the<lb></lb>
said these Men at the Door going away and upon<lb></lb>
his being Informed of the attempt are above he<lb></lb>
Immediately asked of her note was safe & bid her<lb></lb>
look which she did & found that the<gap reason="illegible"></gap>
Bank<lb></lb>
Note for Ten pound and a promisory note for<lb></lb>
thirty pounds together with the Handkerchief in<lb></lb>
which they were both wrapped up were all taken &<lb></lb>
out of her pocket & carried away that this<lb></lb>
Informant suspecting the said these new pursued<lb></lb>
them & traced them to the Sign of the two Brewer<lb></lb>
Middle Row Holborn where upon Enquiry he found<lb></lb>
the third men such as he described had been in the<lb></lb>
said House & were but just gone when this Infant<lb></lb>
Enquired and this Informant further saith that<lb></lb>
the Day after the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45021_n25-4">Luke Margerum</rs>

did not know what become of the thirty pound note<lb></lb>
or the Handkerchief<lb></lb>
and there Informant Elizabeth Macher for<lb></lb>
herself saith that she is a servant at the Two</p>
