on which Grove<lb></lb>
told the said Piddock that he this Informant<lb></lb>
was a Country Farmer, and came to London twice<lb></lb>
a Week at least and that he wanted one of his<lb></lb>
Guineas for a Quarter of Guinea, the said<lb></lb>
Piddock said he would not sell less then two<lb></lb>
Guineas worth, this Informant then say he<lb></lb>
would take two Guineas worth, Accordingly the said<lb></lb>
Piddock went out of the White Lyon as aforesaid<lb></lb>
to bring two Guineas worth of Counterfiet Gold, and<lb></lb>
this Informant waited his return, the said Piddock<lb></lb>
did return in about three Quarters of an hour<lb></lb>
or thereabout, and Called this Informant into a<lb></lb>
back room, and the said Piddock them Lay'd<lb></lb>
down upon the Table in a piece of Crown paper<lb></lb>
four pieces resembling Guineas, and as Many half<lb></lb>
and Quarter Guineas, which Amounted to Eight<lb></lb>
Guineas of base & Counterfeit Mettal, the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45020_n633-4">Joseph<lb></lb>
Groves</rs>
