Severally make oath and say and first this Deponent<lb></lb>
William Merridy for himself Saith that a Lusty Person Dressed<lb></lb>
in brown Cloaths came to the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45019_n1773-4">Thomas Welchs</rs>

aforesaid on Friday last about 11 o Clock<lb></lb>
in the Evening where this Deponent is a Lodger and asked<lb></lb>
if Mrs. Welch was within upon which this Deponents<lb></lb>
wife called the said Mrs. Welch Down Stairs (to the sd<lb></lb>
Person when he said to sd. Mrs. Welch he wanted to Speak<lb></lb>
to her about very particular Business and insisted she<lb></lb>
should go with him And this Deponent further Saith<lb></lb>
that the said Mrs. Welch was very unwilling to go with<lb></lb>
him and said she woud not go but he the said person<lb></lb>
insisted of her going and did force her away without<lb></lb>
permitting her to put on either hatt Cloak or Stays<lb></lb>
and kept Continually Saying she should return in<lb></lb>
2 or 3 minutes And this Deponent further Saith<lb></lb>
that the said Mrs. Welch has not returned neither has<lb></lb>
this Deponent seen her since the said Time therefore this<lb></lb>
Deponent knowing the said Mrs. Welch to be a<lb></lb>
very prudent woman he verily believes she is<lb></lb>
detained against her will And this Deponent</p>
