She hath lodged in Informant's House, says soon after She first came<lb></lb>

said Mr. Pigott continued in London he paid said Barnet several Sums<lb></lb>
of Money some of which went thro this Informant's hands by Notes<lb></lb>
of the hand of the said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45012_n2314-3">Mr. Pigott</rs>

and afterwards when in the Country<lb></lb>
he remitted her several Sum generally Ten pounds at a time by<lb></lb>
Draft upon his Banker Messrs. Child & Co. Temple Barr which<lb></lb>
Drafts he always desined Informant wou'd receive for the use of<lb></lb>
the said Barnet, that in October last a Letter came by the general<lb></lb>
Post and in the usual way directed to the said Mrs. Barnet at his House<lb></lb>
purporting to be a Letter from the aforesaid Mr. Pigott with a Draft<lb></lb>
for £50 Annexed for the said Barnett's use upon the same Bankers<lb></lb>
but made payable to this Informant or Order used which he received<lb></lb>
and applied accordingly that he took in the said Letter from the Post<lb></lb>
to the best of his recollection And this Informant father says that<lb></lb>
last Tuesday Senight another Letter came by Post in the same way<lb></lb>
purporting to come form said Mr. Pigott which his Wife recd. from<lb></lb>
the Postman and that he delivered it unopened to said Barnett at<lb></lb>
which time <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45012_n2314-4">Thomas Grindal</rs>

who hath for along time been<lb></lb>
intimate with said Mrs. Barnet was present says he afterwards<lb></lb>
found that this Letter had annexed to it a Draft for £50 drawn as<lb></lb>
before that he saw Barnet out it off and that on her delivering it to<lb></lb>
him to receive he went with it accordingly to Messrs. Child's for payment<lb></lb>
and was stopt as a Person uttering a forged Bill</p>
