<p n="1992">Who being upon Oath saith that on Thursday<lb></lb>
last about there of the Clock in the Afternoon as<lb></lb>
he was passing down Holborn, he was accosted by<lb></lb>
a Stranger, who after asking Informant what<lb></lb>
County man he was, decoyed him to an Adjacent<lb></lb>
Public House, where two other Men also<lb></lb>
Strangers, to this Informant interfered and mixed<lb></lb>
in Company; says that after drinking some time<lb></lb>
there the said three Persons took this Informant<lb></lb>
to another House in the Fields adjoining to a<lb></lb>
Gravel Road, where by several artful Insinuation<lb></lb>
a Wager of half a Guinea was proposed to be laid<lb></lb>
with this Informant that he and one of the Parties<lb></lb>
did not produce within one hour and an half<obscured></obscured>

forty Pounds; saith that Suspecting no fraud he<lb></lb>
went to his Lodgings us above and fetched the sum<lb></lb>
of thirty one Pounds fifteen Shillings and Six pence<lb></lb>
in Gold excepting one Crown Piece in Silver to<lb></lb>
the Second House they took him to as aforesaidl; saith<lb></lb>
they then all three took him to a third Ale house<lb></lb>
