now present; says that said Cooper about six Years agoe as he believes<lb></lb>

best Method to do it says that they met together at Mr. Jones's Chambers<lb></lb>
with whom said Cooper then lived, says that he and Weskett took to<lb></lb>
ladders from a Stable Yard, by means of which they both got into<lb></lb>
the said Mast. Montagues Chambers thro' a Window, that they there<lb></lb>
broke open a Bureau and look out from thence a Gold Watch<lb></lb>
a large Silver Medal several Gold Rings and a Sum of M<obscured></obscured>

says that they then went to Weskett's Lodgings in <rs type="placeName" id="LMOBPS45008_geo927">Portland Street</rs>

Melted the sd. Gold Rings in a Crucible in sd. Cellar, says<lb></lb>
that the aforesaid Cooper had his Share of the Money taken<lb></lb>
as aforesaid and that the sd. Cooper went out of Town at the<lb></lb>
time the Robbery was Committed to avoid being suspected, he<lb></lb>
having lived as a Servant with sd. Master Montague<lb></lb>
further says that the said Robbery was Committed about the<lb></lb>
hour of twelve in the Night, says that while he was in the aforesaid<lb></lb>
Cellar Metting the above Rings he was almost Suffocated with<lb></lb>
the Charcoal which circumstance is well known to one Mrs. Clarke<lb></lb>
then Mr. Hambden's House Keeper. Says that sometime in<lb></lb>
Decd. last he went to see said <rs type="persName" id="LMOBPS45008_n2018-7">John Weskett</rs>
