several Wards, or the major part of them that do appear, being<lb></lb>

by authorized and required forthwith to put this Act in execu-<lb></lb>
tion, and set and appoint such an equal and proportionable<lb></lb>
Rate of Money upon the several Inhabitants within such Pa-<lb></lb>
rish or Precinct, as that the said Assessment may produce the<lb></lb>
Sum of Money which every Parish respectively is rated at, or<lb></lb>
appointed to pay as aforesaid, on or before the thirteenth day<lb></lb>
of May next ensuing; And that the same, when Rated or As-<lb></lb>
sessed, they shall subscribe with their Names, and procure a<lb></lb>
warrant under the hand and Seal, or Hands and Seals, of<lb></lb>
any Alderman or Aldermen, his or their Deputy or Deputies<lb></lb>
to autorize the Churchwardens or Overseers for the Poor to<lb></lb>
demand, gather and receive of every Person or persons such<lb></lb>
Sum and Sums of Money as shall be assessed upon him, her<lb></lb>
or them by virtue of this Act, and the same Assessment to per<lb></lb>
seded forthwith to deliver to the said Churchwardens or Over-<lb></lb>
seers for the Pmr, to collect and receive the same; and in<lb></lb>
default of payment within Ten days after demand thereof<lb></lb>
made, or Notice in writing left at the Dwelling-house or<lb></lb>
Lodging of every person assessed, to levy the same by Distress<lb></lb>
and Sale of the Goods of every such person; and after Sa-<lb></lb>
tisfaction made, to restore the Surplusage, if any be, to the<lb></lb>
party so diffrained.</p>
<p n="690">PROVIDED always, That if any person or persons find<lb></lb>
him, her or themselves agrieved by the Rate or Carset or im-<lb></lb>
posed upon him, her or them, supposing the same to be un-<lb></lb>
equal, he, the or they shall and may make their Complaint<lb></lb>
known to the <rs type="occupation" id="GLDBPP30701_occ144">Justices of the Peace</rs>
