The next Business that came on was the appointment<lb></lb>
of Auditors of Mr. Tutets Account. Previous to which<lb></lb>
a long Conversation took place between several of the<lb></lb>
Gentlemen present concerning the Repairs of the Church.<lb></lb>
And it was insisted by Mr. Hankey that too large an<lb></lb>
Expence had been incurred, and that the Sum to be<lb></lb>
laid out ought to have been mentioned in the Notices<lb></lb>
for holding the Vestries. And it was further alledged<lb></lb>
by Mr. Ridgeway that a Surveyor ought to have been<lb></lb>
appointed to take an Estimate of the Expence, and to<lb></lb>
inspect the Workmen's Bills. In answer to which it<lb></lb>
was replied by the Church Warden and several of the<lb></lb>
Gentlemen of the Committee, that due Notice had been<lb></lb>
given to the Parishioners on every occasion of what<lb></lb>
related to the Repairs, that a Committee had been<lb></lb>
regularly appointed, and the several Estimates laid<lb></lb>
before the Committee had been approved of at a full<lb></lb>
Vestry, and the Proceedings Confirmed at a subsequents<lb></lb>
