House, with the Deced on Friday Eveng last and<lb></lb>
they found Smith Quarrell immediately<lb></lb>
ensued between the Decd. & the sd Smith<lb></lb>

a pair of Boots which Smith had total<lb></lb>
& belongd to the Deced. They agreed in Consequences<lb></lb>
to fight the next morng. & they each laid down<lb></lb>
up a Guinea the Dept. believes that Smith<lb></lb>
proposed the Battle - the Parties had often<lb></lb>
quarrelled on this Subject before they met<lb></lb>
Greening to Appointant on Saturday Morng.<lb></lb>
this Dept. was present during the Battle<lb></lb>
they Shook hands both before & after the<lb></lb>
Battle. this Dept does not believe they bore any<lb></lb>
County to each other & hereby believes the<lb></lb>
only<obscured></obscured>
geet the battle was to decide the<lb></lb>
Dispute arising from the Circumstances<lb></lb>
of the Sale of the Boots. This Dept. believes they<lb></lb>
fought near 1 & ½ hour & then the Deced<lb></lb>
gullied to his autosomit then Dept Acquirted<lb></lb>
the Deced to yield before but he refused<lb></lb>
after the battle was over they they shook hands &<lb></lb>

both went to the same public House<lb></lb>
Drank there the Deced has been much indisposed</p>

Says that during his Confinement, the said<lb></lb>
Smith attended much out the Deced, the Deced died<lb></lb>
on Wednesday Morng last.<lb></lb>
the Dept. reeallects well that the Decd. did not<lb></lb>
complained after the Battle of any Injury or<lb></lb>
Hurt reced during the fighting</p>

that might tend to hasten Death His Disorder<lb></lb>
however was & that Nature which in time<lb></lb>
