Dept. believes that his Death was occasioned by the<lb></lb>
Wound abovementioned, Says that the Deced<lb></lb>
when Depont. first came to him, was very low<lb></lb>

Oath saith, That the Deced has been ill above twelve<lb></lb>
Months of a Billions Cholick, and was in a very low<lb></lb>
and Melancholy Way, Says that the Deced was very<lb></lb>
bad and in violent pain with his Complaint on Wednesday<lb></lb>
last was fortnight, and went into Bed about Eleven<lb></lb>
o'Clock in the Forenoon, that he lay in Bed that Afternoon<lb></lb>
and the Night, Says that about Six o'Clock the next<lb></lb>
Morning Dept. went into Deced's Room as usual to<lb></lb>
enquire<obscured></obscured>
he was, when Deced desired to see Mrs.<lb></lb>
Vitu his Wife, who went to him, and Dept. followed<lb></lb>
Says that Deced said I am going to die, saying that he<lb></lb>
had a reason for saying so & had made away with himself that he put the Bed Clothes<lb></lb>
off him, and that Dept. observed a Wound in Deced's<lb></lb>
Belly, which Dept. said he had given unto himself, about<lb></lb>
Twelve o'Clock at Night, Says that the Deced would<lb></lb>
not tell his Wife when she asked him, what he did<lb></lb>
it</p>
<p n="856">it with, but desired her to be quiet and to let him<lb></lb>
alone. and afterwards said to Dept. that he wished<lb></lb>
he had not spoke of it to his Wife, Says, that she does<lb></lb>
believe that the Deced gave himself the wound above<lb></lb>
mentioned, and that the Deced two or three days<lb></lb>
afterwards, when in his Senses, said that he hoped<lb></lb>
God would forgive him for having committed that ra<obscured></obscured>
<lb></lb>
Act, And says that she heard the Deced say several<lb></lb>
times after his violent pains & Reachings were over that he<lb></lb>
wished he was dead.</p>
