Esqr. the Deced come to this Dept. and informed<lb></lb>
him that his Master (the Deced's) Bed chamber Door was fastened and that he could<lb></lb>
hear no Noise in the Room, upon which this Dept. immediately went<lb></lb>

and found the Deced's Bedchamber Door fastened on the inside Says that<lb></lb>
after calling the Deced several times and having no Answer he forced<lb></lb>
open the Door, and on Entering the Room and opening the Shutter<lb></lb>
he saw the Deced lying upon the Floor by the Bedside very Bloody<lb></lb>
and a great deal of Blood upon the Floor around him, says that the<lb></lb>
Deced was dead, but Dept. did not see any Wound; And this Dept.<lb></lb>
says that he saw the Deced of late almost every day, and from<lb></lb>
this Depts. observation upon the Deced's Behaviour, does believe<lb></lb>
that the Deced for a fortnight last past has at times been Insane<lb></lb>
and for that reason this Dept. or his Brother George Charles<lb></lb>
endeavoured to be with the Deced, as often as they could.</p>

Footman to the Deced on his Oath saith That the Deced<lb></lb>
went to Bed last Night about Eleven o'Clock Says that the Deced<lb></lb>
used to open the Shutter of his Bedchamber Window (being the pair of stairs) in the Morning<lb></lb>
and generally came down Stairs about nine o'Clock, That the Shutter<lb></lb>
not being opened this Morning, and Dept. not hearing his Master Moor<lb></lb>
and after touching at the Door & finding the Bedchamber Door fastened on the inside (which was not<lb></lb>
usual) he was frightened and feared that some Accident had<lb></lb>
happened to him, upon which he went to Mr. <rs type="persName" id="WACWIC65210_n892-2">Alexander Charles</rs>

Deced's Brother and told him what he had done, Says that Mr. Charles<lb></lb>
came to Deced's House immediately and went up Stairs into the Deced's<lb></lb>
Bedchamber Door which he forced open (Dept. being then upon the<lb></lb>
Stairs) Says, that Mr. Charles went into the Room and soon came<lb></lb>
down, after which Dept. went into the Room and saw only the Deced's<lb></lb>
foot upon the Floor, Dept. being then much frightened, but afterwards<lb></lb>
went in and saw the Deced upon the Floor dead and a great deal<lb></lb>
of Blood upon the Floor. And this Dept. says that the Deced has been out<lb></lb>
of Order for about a Month and particularly for the last fortnight<lb></lb>
during which time his Behaviour was different from what is used to be<lb></lb>
That he Eat very little and appeared useasy in his Mind, and behaviour<lb></lb>
that the Deced was disordered in his Senses.</p>
