one pair of Stairs in Dept. last House and were old and infirm<lb></lb>
That about Eight o'Clock last Night a woman Servant to Mr.<lb></lb>
Strong (a Lodger in the back room even with Deced) came down<lb></lb>
Stirs and said that she believed Hall's Room was on Fire<lb></lb>
upon which he went up into the Deced's room<lb></lb>
and found it full of smoak, the Deced's Husband <obscured></obscured>
ing<lb></lb>
upon the Bed & unable to move, That he found the Deced's<lb></lb>
sitting in an Elbow Chair near the Fire side with L<obscured></obscured>
Cloath<lb></lb>
on Fire, and having a Knife in her Hand Says that Mr.<lb></lb>
Strong and Mr. Turpin, (who went in to the room with Dept.<lb></lb>
endeavored to kill away the Deced's Hand kerchief and Choaths,<lb></lb>
which were on Fire, when Dept, saw that the Deced was<lb></lb>
burnt in the Shoulders and about her Head, That a pail<lb></lb>
of water was fetched and thrown over the Deced, but Dept.<lb></lb>
found that Deced was dead. Says that there was no other<lb></lb>
Person in the room with Deced but her Husband, when<lb></lb>
Dept. went in, and believes that the Deced's Linnen<lb></lb>
accidentally took Fire by which the Deced was burnt.</p>
