maketh oath that last Friday morning about nine o'clock<lb></lb>
in the morning Dept. who<obscured></obscured>
in Chambers up three pair of<lb></lb>
Stairs on the same flow as the deced. resided saw him at the<lb></lb>
outer door of his Chambers when he gave Dept some milk<lb></lb>
to her breakfast which he often didthat he appeared then<lb></lb>
at he usually did & conversed with Deptthat he then<lb></lb>
went into his Roome and Dept went into hersthat about<lb></lb>
half an hour afterwards while a Dept was in her room at Breakfast<lb></lb>
she heard the outer door of the deced violently thrown to & some<lb></lb>
person passed very quick down Stairsthat about a quarter of<lb></lb>
one hour afterwards William Rarrow who usually attended on the<lb></lb>

came & knocked at his chambers door several times &<lb></lb>
afterwards called to the dead & kicked at the door& then he<lb></lb>
knocked at Depts. door and asked her if she had seen Mr. Slaughter<lb></lb>
& Dept answered that he was gone out & that he went out in hard<lb></lb>
she had heard him shut his doorthe bid Dept late Mr.<lb></lb>
Slaughter when she should see him that he had been there<lb></lb>
Dept says she did not see the deceds door open again in that day<lb></lb>
That on Saturday morning between 9 & 10 said Wm. Barrow came<lb></lb>
into Dept. room & asked her if the had been Mr. Slaughter, so which<lb></lb>
Dept answered ho-and Barrow sayed that Mr. Slaughter had been<lb></lb>
engaged to take Tea & Sup with a <rs type="occupation" id="LMCLIC65006_occ777">Gentleman</rs>

on the Friday but that<lb></lb>
he had not done so & that the Gent. was very uneasy about itSays<lb></lb>
he then went away and did not as Dept believes knock as the deced</p>
