<p n="2846">directions for providing suitable Furniture and accommodations<lb></lb>
for the New Prison.</p>
<p n="2847">That the Temporary Porter and Porters Man should<lb></lb>
occupy the Houses prepared for them at each end of the<lb></lb>
New Prison.</p>
<p n="2848">That the Surveyor should give directions for making a<lb></lb>
Sink at the South East end of the lower Gallery.</p>
<p n="2849">And that the Steward should provide a sufficient number<lb></lb>
of Beds and Bedding similar to those used in the Womens<lb></lb>
Prison.</p>
<p n="2850">That the Committee had taken into consideration the<lb></lb>
referrence from the General Court of the 27th. April last<lb></lb>
"To Consider whether any mode of employing the Prisoners<lb></lb>
"committed to this Hospital can be adopted so as in future<lb></lb>
"to render their employment more productive to the<lb></lb>
"Charity" And were unanimously of Opinion, that no<lb></lb>
better mode of employing the Prisoners committed to<lb></lb>
this Hospital had presented it self to the Committee, than<lb></lb>
beating of Hemp and cutting ropes and picking the same<lb></lb>
into Oakum.</p>
<p n="2851">The Committee then came to several Resolutions<lb></lb>
respecting the future Management of the Prisoners<lb></lb>
and the employment of the Porter, Beadles and Porter's<lb></lb>
Man.</p>
<p n="2852">The Minutes of the Bethlem Committee of the following<lb></lb>
days were read and confirmed whereby it appeared</p>
