<p n="2741">Continued Thursday 30th. April 1789</p>
<p n="2742">To Stale to the House Committee at each of their Meeting Previous to the<lb></lb>
four General Quarterly Courts the amount of the Arrears of the Revenues of this Hospital<lb></lb>
under his Receipt with a List of all such Tenants whose Rents shall be move than<lb></lb>
six Months in Arrears</p>
<p n="2743">To provide and deliver out the diet daily for the Prisoners</p>
<p n="2744">To see that the Workman Employed in such Repairs as shall be Ordered by<lb></lb>
the Committee do regularly attend and do their Duty in such Employ</p>
<p n="2745">To direct such Repairs as by accidents or decay may become immediatly<lb></lb>
and absolutely necessary to be done, and all others of small Charge and expected<lb></lb>
not exceeding forty shillings.</p>
<p n="2746">To examine the Workmens and Tradesmens Bills and the Several charges<lb></lb>
Therein and see that they be right and pay then as the Committee directs</p>
<p n="2747">Tod Attend al Courts and Committees of this Hospital to be ready to be<lb></lb>
called in as Occasion shall Happen and to observe such Direction as he shall<lb></lb>
receive from Time to Time.</p>
<p n="2748">To take care that the payments of the several Insurances on the Buildings<lb></lb>
belonging to the Hospital be Made and the several Policies from time<lb></lb>
to time received regularly.</p>
<p n="2749">To Report to the first House Committee after Lady Day in Every year the<lb></lb>
Leaves which are within Three years of expecting and Also such Premise as are<lb></lb>
out of Lease and to continued to Report the same to every succeeding committee<lb></lb>
hill the Premise have been Retel</p>
<p n="2750">And with respect to the Salary and Perquisites of<lb></lb>
his Office</p>
<p n="2751">It Appears to this Committee that the Steward resides in a House belonging to<lb></lb>
the Hospital free of Rent and Taxes and that his Salary and Perquisites are<lb></lb>
as Follow</p>
<p n="2752">His Salary £100 a years</p>
<p n="2753">A Gratuity for making up the General accounts of his Hospital £21 a year</p>
<p n="2754">A Gratuity for making up the General accounts of Bethlem Hospital £21 a Year</p>

Gratuities of one Guinea usually received from every new Governors which upon<lb></lb>
an average of the last Three years appear to have amounted to 20 Guineas<lb></lb>
a year</p>
<p n="2756">Acquittances to the Tenants of 1s. 4d each Per Annum which amount to<lb></lb>
£20 a year</p>
<p n="2757">That he has a Contract for supplying the Prisoners with their daily provisions <lb></lb>
at 8d for each and that the annual Exp<obscured></obscured>
tenture of <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20209_geo1066">the Hospital</rs>
