<p n="1797">Continued Friday 23d. Septr. 1785.</p>
<p n="1798">into the Cellar every Saturday that the Committee may see<lb></lb>
what Beer has been received and what has been Drank the<lb></lb>
precedding Week.</p>
<p n="1799">That he shall take all necessary Care that the Cook make no<lb></lb>
Waste of Provisions or appropriate to himself or herself any<lb></lb>
Perquisites.</p>
<p n="1800">That he shall not suffer any Strong Beer to be brought into<lb></lb>
the House for any Patient whatsoever but at particular Hours for<lb></lb>
such Persons and in such Quantities as shall be Directed by the Physician<lb></lb>
Surgeon or Apothecary and set down by them in a Written List and in<lb></lb>
Order to do this more compleatly and to put a Stop to the bringing in<lb></lb>
of the Beer It is expressly Ordered that none shall come into the House<lb></lb>
for any Patient but through the Stewards Apartment.</p>
<p n="1801">That no Spirituous Liquors be an any Pretence Permitted to be<lb></lb>
brought into this Hospital.</p>
<p n="1802">That he shall advertize the Committee of the death of the Securities<lb></lb>
of the Incurable Patients or either of them as soon as it comes to his<lb></lb>
Knowledge and shall make particular enquiry from time to time to<lb></lb>
discover if any Die.</p>
<p n="1803">That he shall for the future receive a settled Salary in Lieu of all<lb></lb>
Perquisites and Advantages whatsoever.</p>
<p n="1804">That the Sum of one Hundred Guineas P Annum be paid him<lb></lb>
for his Salary.</p>
<p n="1805">That he be permitted to keep three Servants and no more.</p>
<p n="1806">That he be not permitted to follow any Trade or Business or hold<lb></lb>
any other Place or Employment but that he do and shall appropriate<lb></lb>
his whole time in the Service of the Hospital.</p>
<p n="1807">That he shall not lay out of the Hospital without leave of the<lb></lb>
Treasurer or weekly Committee.</p>
<p n="1808">That he shall not receive any Goods or Provisions into this<lb></lb>
Hospital without a particular Note in Writing or Bill of Parcels<lb></lb>
and that he regularly File the same.</p>
<p n="1809">That he shall take Care that no Patient be employed in delivering<lb></lb>
the Provisions into the several Cells but that the same be done by the<lb></lb>
Basket men and Gallery Maids only.</p>
<p n="1810">That he shall see that the Servants employed in Bethlem.</p>
