an Order of Court of the 29th. May last whereby it was referred to<lb></lb>
them to Allot an Apartment to Mrs. Lapthorne the late Matron<lb></lb>
as a Reward for her long Services proceeded to View the House<lb></lb>
where in the now dwells and found the same so small that they<lb></lb>
are of Opinion it will not be possible to Provide a proper apartments<lb></lb>
for her therein the Committee also Viewed three other Houses lately<lb></lb>
Occupied by Artsmasters but now Empty and found the same<lb></lb>
much out of Repair and the Surveyor having Estimated that it will<lb></lb>
Cost £40 or £50 to put the same into tolerable Order This<lb></lb>
Committee are of Opinion that it will be more for the Interest of the<lb></lb>
Hospital to allow the said Mrs. Lapthorne £10 a Year in Lieu<lb></lb>
of an Apartment All which is nevertheless submitted to the<lb></lb>
Judgement of the Court and Ordered to be reported to the next<lb></lb>
Court" This Court having duly weighed and considered the said<lb></lb>
Report doth agree with the said Committee therein and it is<lb></lb>
Ordered that the Clerk do pay the said Mrs. Lapthorne Ten pounds<lb></lb>
a year in Lieu of an Apartment as aforesaid.</p>
