Ordered to be Sold</note>

Mr. treasurer having Reported to this Court that out of the Sum of<lb></lb>
£5068..19s..9d paid by the Bridge Committee for the Purchase of Part of<lb></lb>
the North East Wing of the said Hospital and the Ground and Soil<lb></lb>
whereon the same Stood and which was by an Order of Court of the<lb></lb>
3d. February 1773 Ordered to be laid out in Rebuilding and improving<lb></lb>
such part of the said Hospital as had been taken down and destroyed<lb></lb>
he had laid out the Sum of £900 in the purchase of the Lease hereto for<lb></lb>
Granted by this Hospital to the New River Company, the Sum of £1450<lb></lb>
in the Purchase of another Lease heretofore Granted by this Hospital & of a<lb></lb>
Wharfe and Premises in the Precinct of the said Hospital to <rs type="occupation" id="BBBRMG20208_occ6457">Sir</rs>

which Purchases were for the Advantage and Improvemt.<lb></lb>
of the said Hospital Estate and that the several Workmen had<lb></lb>
made a great Progress in the said Buildings and that he had from<lb></lb>
time to time paid them several Sums of Money to a Considerable<lb></lb>
amount on Account of their Bills It was therefore moved and<lb></lb>
Seconded that Mr. treasurer be desired and improved to Sell out<lb></lb>
the Sum of £1037..10S..0D East India Bonds in Order to reimburse<lb></lb>
in part the said Sums of £900 and £1450 so paid by him as<lb></lb>
aforesaidThis Court having duly weighed and Considered the<lb></lb>
said Matters doth Order that Mr. treasurer do sell the said £1037..10s<lb></lb>
East India Bonds and apply the Money arising thereby towards<lb></lb>
Payment of the workmens Bills yet remaining due and<lb></lb>
Unsatisfied</p>

Upon Reading the humble Petition of the Inhabitants<lb></lb>
of this Hospital and of the Precinct Setting forth. "That the<lb></lb>
last Year your Worships were Pleased to allow an additional<lb></lb>
Sum of £36 towards defraying the Expences of the Poor Watch<lb></lb>
Scavenger and other Incidental Expences of the said Hospital and<lb></lb>
Precinct. That not withstanding such Additional aid there remains<lb></lb>
an Arrear due to Mr. Hadwen late Chapel Warden £23..6S..0D<lb></lb>
That your Petitioners have continued the rate for the ensuing Year<lb></lb>
the same as the last; And as there is not the least reason to expect<lb></lb>
the expences of the ensuing Year can be less than the last Your<lb></lb>
Petitioners humbly pray that your Worships will be pleased<lb></lb>
to Grant them the same additional Aid and with all due<lb></lb>
Gratitude Etc. This Court having taken into Consideration the<lb></lb>
matters Stated in the said Petition do Order that the Steward of<lb></lb>
this Hospital do pay the Chapelwardens of this Hospital &<lb></lb>
Precinct the Sum of £36 in Order to enable them to discharge<lb></lb>
the said Arrears and towards the further support and<lb></lb>
Maintenance of the Poor of the said Precinct.</p>
