of the rest of the Apprentices.</p>
<p n="1857">Upon the whole the Comittee are of Opinion The fault is Cheifly in the<lb></lb>
Artsmasters, And that such Disorders would not have happend if the Repeated<lb></lb>
Orders of the Govrs. for the Apprentices being kept at Home on Holydays & other<lb></lb>
Orders had not bean Neglected by the Artsmasters, One of whom said he wou'd<lb></lb>
obey 'em if he knew 'emAnd upon Inspection of the Books finding many<lb></lb>
Orders made at Great Distances of time and Blending Sevl. Matters Together<lb></lb>
The Comittee are of Opinion that Orders concerning the behaviour of<lb></lb>
Artsmasters, the behaviour of Apprentices and the Duty of the Beadles and<lb></lb>
Porters man Relative to the Artsmasters and Apprentices Shou'd be ranged<lb></lb>
under these 3 distinct heads & Printed and<obscured></obscured>
up in Each Artsmasters Shop<lb></lb>
and in the Lobby, Court Room & Dineing Room of this HospitalAnd for that<lb></lb>
Purpose the Comittee have Drawn up the Substance of former Orders with some<lb></lb>
Variations & Additions which the Comittee think proper as follows.</p>

That every Artsmaster shall follow his Apprentices to the Chappel & see him<lb></lb>
all in their places every Sunday and 30th. Janry 29th. May & 5th. of November both<lb></lb>
Morning & afternoon before Divine Service begins and continue there with them till<lb></lb>
it is endedAnd if any Artsmaster shall be Absent he shall send his reason in<lb></lb>
Writing Signe'd by him to the Clerks house Every Sunday after evening season Pain of being<lb></lb>
Expelled this House.</p>
<p n="1859">2d. That no Artmaster shall do or Cause to be done any work belonging to his Trade on a Sunday</p>

That every Artsmaster shall keep his Apprentices in his Appartment on Holydays<lb></lb>
and he himself shall stay at home the Evenings during the time of Bartholomew<lb></lb>
& Southwark fair in Order to keep his Apprentices there.</p>

4th - That no Artsmaster shall suffer any of his apprentices to lay out at a Night without leave<lb></lb>
of the President, Treasurer or Comittee but shall give Notice in writing to the Clerk of<lb></lb>
the Hospital the next Morning after every breach of this Order</p>
<p n="1862">5th - That no Artsmaster shall on any Pretence whatsoever take Money or Notes<lb></lb>
of any Apprentice or his Friends upon Pain of Expulsion.</p>
