A Prohibition for the future against the large Quantitys of Strong Liquer carinal<lb></lb>
in daily which gives great offence to all who observe it</p>
<p n="1887">And whereas by an order of Court the 17th. instant the said three Paragraphs we<lb></lb>
referred to this Comittee to examine into the facts therein mentioned & report their<lb></lb>
Opinion thereon to the CourtThis Comittee have examined into the same & do<lb></lb>
findAs to the 1st. That a penny only is demanded of & paid by every friend<lb></lb>
of the patients & the strictest enquiry amongst all the servants we do not find this<lb></lb>
any more is demanded of or paid by any person who come to see a patient<lb></lb>
As to the 2d. We find that on Holliday times great number of people resort to his<lb></lb>
Hospital & in order to prevent distarbances the porter of the Hospital is an ann<lb></lb>
made a Constable to keep the peace who with the Assistance of the other servt<lb></lb>
always attends to present disorders & we do not hear that any complaint to<lb></lb>
over been made by any of the Neighbours or other concerning this matter<lb></lb>
And as to the sd. We find the Surgeon has frequently strong stale Beer bought<lb></lb>
into the Hospital to made polhres for the patients & of times a Gallon in a<lb></lb>
day & some of the patients are allowed by their friends half a pint & others a<lb></lb>
pint of Strong beer a day which the Doctor thinks is of great service to on<lb></lb>
But we do not find that the servants or any of the patients are suffered<lb></lb>
to drink to ExcessAnd upon the whole We are of Opinion There is no as<lb></lb>
Ground for the said representations in the said Letter And his Ordered that<lb></lb>
this be reported to the next Cout This Court having duly weight and<lb></lb>
considered of the said Report doth confirm the same.</p>
