was read as follows Vizt.</p>
<p n="1491">Whereas Several Lighters laden with Coals and other Merchandrize lye before<lb></lb>
the Key and Wharf and thereby not only Obstruct the <rs type="placeName" id="BBBRMG20205_geo564">Hospital of Bridewell</rs>

from the use<lb></lb>
and benefit thereof, but break down the Stairs and whereof by being Fostered there & pay<lb></lb>
no manner of Dutys or Yeild any manner of Profit to the Hospital yet very much<lb></lb>
Damnify that EstateAnd Whereas by the means aforesaid such Lighters<lb></lb>
are frequently Conveyd' in the night Tides into Fleet Ditch & Unladed & Carried out with the<lb></lb>
return of such Tides, whereby the Proprietor is Defrauded of th Duty of Dockage and<lb></lb>
Wharf age due to himFor Remedy whereof for the future and for the Advantage of<lb></lb>
the said Hospital and the Proprietor of the said DitchIt is Proposed that if the<lb></lb>
Corporation of the Hospital will let a Lease (for their usual Term of Granting Lease) to<lb></lb>
the Proprietor of Fleet ditch That he will put the Key, Stairs & Promisses in good repair<lb></lb>
& keep them soAnd that power be reserved to the Corporation for the Lading &<lb></lb>
Unlading of all Goods whatsoever (not for Sale but) for the Proper use of the Hospital or<lb></lb>
otherwise as shall be Judged Proper And to pay a Yearly rent of Twenty Shillings<lb></lb>
