<p n="1754">And the Said Mr Bates and Mr. Southwood were Severally<lb></lb>
called in and acquainted that the Governours would not<lb></lb>
Grant a Lease of the Said premisses for a Longer Term<lb></lb>
than Forty Nine years and a Quarter of a year which<lb></lb>
will expire at ye Same time with their Leases of the Ground<lb></lb>
adjoyning and then were desired to withdraw & Reconsider<lb></lb>
their Proposals and Let the Comittee know the most<lb></lb>
they would give And Mr. Southwood being called in again<lb></lb>
Said the utmost he would offer was Four hundred & Twenty<lb></lb>
Five pounds Fyne and Fifty pounds P Anum Rent and to<lb></lb>
be obliged within Seven years next ensueing to Lay out<lb></lb>
Seven hundred pounds in Rebuilding and he being wth. drawn<lb></lb>
Mr Bates was called in and Said the utmost he would offer<lb></lb>
was Four hundred and Fifty pounds Fyne and Fifty pounds<lb></lb>
P Anum Rent and to be obliged to Lay out Eight hundred<lb></lb>
pounds in Rebuilding and repaireing the premisses within<lb></lb>
Ten years now next ensueing This Comee haveing<lb></lb>
considered both the said proposals are of Opinion to<lb></lb>
accept the proposeal of the said Mr Bates and to Grant<lb></lb>
him a Lease of the said premisses upon the Terms he<lb></lb>
offers for Forty Nine years and one Quarter of a year<lb></lb>
to Comence from Lady day LastThis Court<lb></lb>
doth Confirme the Same And it is Orderd That A<lb></lb>

that he left it intirely to the Governours with whose Managmt.<lb></lb>
he was very well Satisfyed and that he thanked Court for the Honor<lb></lb>
they had done him in Electing Him one of the Governours</p>
