. Last Friday I went out to the next door for about five minutes; when I returned I met the prisoner on the steps with the things mentioned in the indictment in her apron. I stopped her, and asked her what she had got in her apron? she said her sister's clothes. I desired to look at them. I found my child's frock and a pair of linen sheets in her apron. I charged the constable with her.
