EDWARD BALL proceedingsdefend was indicted for falsely making, forging, and counterfeiting, and causing and procuring to be falsely made, forged, and counterfeited, a certain note called a promisory note, purporting to be signed by Henry M'Annully < no role > , which note is as follows: 20th Jan. 1775, four months after date to pay to Arthur McAnnully < no role > or order 133 l. 12 s. 8 d. for value received, May 23d.

There was no evidence to prove the note a forgery.

NOT GUILTY .

Tried by the First Middlesex Jury before Mr. Baron EYRE.
