ANN, the wife of ROBERT PETTIN < no role > proceedingsdefend , was indicted for stealing a scarlet cloak, value eight shillings, two linen shifts, value five shillings, four linen handkerchiefs, value six-pence, two muslin handkerchiefs, value four-pence, and six linen clouts, value sixpence , the property of Dorothy Olive proceedingsvictim , widow , January 13 . ||

Dorothy Olive < no role > . The prisoner came into my house about five or six in the evening, about the time I lost my goods, I suspected she had taken the things, I apprehended her, and she confessed she had taken them, and directed me to the place where she had pawned them, I found them there, but the pawnbroker could not be sure as to the person that pawned them.

Prisoner's Defence.

I leave myself to the mercy of the court.

Guilty of stealing to the value of ten-pence .
