The 3d of August the Prisoner came into my Mistress's Shop, under Pretence of pledging some Stockings; my Master suspecting the Prisoner, followed and took him on the Outside of the Shop Door in the Passage, with two Parcels in his Hand and one at his Feet; they were Goods that were pledged to us by different Persons; my Master asked him how he came by them, he said, he found them on the Ground in the Shop; but before the Justice, he said, they sell off the Shelf to him. Acquitted .
