Simon Jacobs , alias Joseph Guest proceedingsdefend , of the Parish of St. Dunstans in the West , was indicted for feloniously stealing 2 Guineas, and 3 s. 6 d. in Money , the Property of George Harcourt proceedingsvictim , the 8th of August last. The Prosecutor depos'd, that his Desk in the Crown-Office had been broke open 3 Times, and he lost Money, and enquiring of the Maid who she gave the Key to that Night, she told him to the Porter's Son; then examining Thomas Charlton < no role > the Porter's Son, he owned, that he had gotten the Key at the Desire of the Prisoner and 2 more, the one called White Will < no role > , and the other Jeremiah Hill < no role > . He describ'd their Persons and Haunt, and the Prisoner was taken up by the Boy's Description and Account; That the two Persons before mentioned, and Prisoner, broke open the Desk with the Poker, and took out Money, he could not tell what, but they gave him 2 Guineas. The Jury found him guilty of the Indictment. Transportation .
