Mary Tame proceedingsdefend , of Harrow on the Hill in the County of Middlesex, was indicted for the Murther of Elizabeth Tame proceedingsvictim her Sister of about two Years of Age, by throwing her into a Pond , and Choaking and Drowning her . She was also indicted a second time on the Coroners Inquest for the same. It appeared by the Evidence that the Prisoner was an Ideot , and being left to look after her Sister (as she told the Evidence) went to wash her Face at the Pond, and let her fall in. The Jury considering the Matter acquitted her.
