Examination TextMary Hill aged about 40 years passed as a vagrant from the Parish of St. Mary at Lambeth in the County of Surry to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married (except to David Ryan after the manner of the Church of Rome in the Chapel in Dukes Street about seven years ago) bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that her father Edward Hill was a Poulterer by trade and lived in and rented an house in Hungerford Street in the Parish aforesaid for the space of 26 years at the yearly rent of 28 pounds besides taxes, and there died, and then her mother Mary Hill continued in the same house, and that she the said Mary Hill never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes after she quitted the aforesaid house.
