Examination Text | The Examination of Elizabeth Marston removed by an order of two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace from the Parish of St Margaret within the city and liberty of Westminster to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the said liberty taken this fourth Day of November in the year of our Lord 1784. This Examinant on her oath saith that she is 67 years of age, that she is the widow of Thomas Marston who died about nine years ago to whom she was married at Gibraltar the second Day of January in the year 1747, that her said husband was born in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields as he her said husband hath informed this Examinant, but the particular part she cannot tell, that he her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge, that she this examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband.
