Examination Text | Mary Hill aged 22 years lodging at Mr Dixon in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married nor bound an apprentice, that she was yearly hired servant to Mr Wilson at the sign of the Bell in Charles Court aforesaid for the space of 13 months all under one hiring at the yearly wages of about 4 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same five years ago, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 23rd Day of July 1783 before William Hyde. |
