| Examination Text | Mary Sadler aged 21 Years upon her Oath saith that she was on the Twentieth Day of November last delivered in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields within the Liberty of Westminster of a ffemale Bastard Child since baptised Eleanor and that William Welch, who is the Bricklayer by trade & one is for Mr Chapman and Edgeware did beget oath on her body the said female bastard Child & that he the said William Welch is the true & only Father thereof & no Man Else & that the said Child is now chargeable to the said Parish. Sworn this 30th Day of December 1789 before Wm Hyde Mary Sadler vide 117 in this Book |
