Examination TextLucy Wilson removed by an order of removal from the Parish of St Botolph without Bishopsgate in the City of London to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith she is 37 years of age, that she is the wife of John Wilson (who is gone from her) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of St. James within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex the sixth Day of September in the year 1762, that her said husband lived in and rented an house in Marygold Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of nine months at the yearly rent of 10 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 18 years ago, that her said husband never kept house nor rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she hath three children living by her said husband to wit Elizabeth born April 11, 1766, Lydia aged 12 years and Sophia Ann aged one year both now with this Examinant. Sworn the 12th Day of May 1781 before William Hyde. [In a different hand:] N.B. Eliz. was never bound apprentice nor been a yearly hired servant for 12 months nor done any act to gain a settlement, January 2/89.
