Examination Text | Deborah Taylor aged about 70 years in the Workhouse Saith she is the widow of John Taylor who died about thirty years agoe to whom she was married at Dukes place in the City of London about 41 years agoe he was a Scrivenerwas born in Cheshire but where can't tell he never was a yearly hired Servant or housekeeper nor never Rented 10£ pr Ann Saith at the time of the Death of king Charles the Second she Lodged at one Persones in York Buildings and continued there about a year afterwards Saith she since her husbands Death was a yearly hired Servt to one Mr Waite a Staymaker in Burley Street in this Parish four years had 16 £ pr Ann Wages Diet and Lodging left the same about 30 yeares agoe and never was a yearly hired Servant since hath one Son George aged abt 40 years marr Saith her said Son was maintained by her at Nurse all the time she lived in the said Waites Service. |
