Examination TextJane Biggs aged 49 years in the workhouse saith she is the widow of Richard Biggs to whom she was married at White Chapell Church about 20 years ago and who died within five months afterwards, and that she never had any child by him, that since his death she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Francis Sheldon in Leicester Fields who took a house for her to live in at the corner of Oxendon Street in Coventry Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields whom she there served in that house in selling old goods from the time his present Majesty came to reside in Leicester House when Prince of Wales untill the same was pulled down, had 4 pounds by the year wages diet and lodging and that the Mr Sheldon afterwards took the house next Mr Shute's in Oxendon Street for her to live in and for which she was to pay him 12 pounds yearly rent, that she kept the same three or four years and quitted it above a year ago since which she never kept any other house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes was a yearly hired servant.
