taken this 28th. day of July 1798
in the Parish of St. Anne Soho
at the home of Daniel Ryan< no role > the
Sign of the George Princess Street
Soho before Anthony Gell< no role > his
Majesty's Coroner for the said
City and Liberty touching at
Death of Sarah Tett< no role > a Female
Infant Child then and there
lying dead as follow to wit,

William Petts< no role > of No. 14 Great Compton
Street Soho being sworn deposeth Street
on Thursday Morning the 12th. Instant before
one o'Clock as he was going along Princes
Street he heard & Woman Which out very
much and he melt Fire and the Women
still screemed out and this Deponent and
his Son another Person soon Perceived that
the House No. 17 in Princes' Street was on
Fire whereupon they endeavoured to burst
open the Street but not being able to do
it this Deponent ran home to his House
hard by for a Hatchett and on his
return
