Informations of Witnesses
taken this 4 May 1798 at the
Dwelling House of John Smith< no role > the Sign of the King's head
in James Street in the Parish of St. Margaret

Samuel Mortlock< no role > shews. to the Westmr Infy . being
Sworn Saith that the Deced was brot into
the Infirms of Good Friday last in a Cart
outhisLeg fractured & the other very much
bruised he heard the Surgeon declare
that he never expected a Cure he has
been in the Hospital ever since & died that
Night about 8 o'Clock he has no doubt but he died in
consequence of the accident Saml Mortlock< no role >
John Howard< no role > drove to the Porie Mill Bank that
being sworn saith he & the Deced had been out
on Thursday night preceding good Friday & bud & Mones
home about 7 o'Clock in the morning of good Friday
on the Road about seven miles of Edgware this
Dept. was driving the Tunts Carriage & the Deced
was sitting the Shafts & upon to a short poet his
Leg was between the Shaft & the wheel this dept
stopped immediately they [..] went on & stopped
at Edware & slept there & from there was brot here
A man perfectly accidental (the night was ever [..]
