Informations of Witnesses taken this 24th.
Day of November 1797 in the Parish of Saint
Margaret Westminster at the dwelling house of
John Smith< no role > the Sign of the Kings Head in James
Street Westminster before me Anthony Gell< no role > His
Majesty's Coroner for the said City and Liberty
touching the Death of Charles Sealey< no role > then
and there lying dead as follow, to Wit.

John Wilson< no role > House Surgeon toSt. thatthe Westmr
Imfirmary being sworn deposeth that on Wednesday
Evening last (the 22d. Inst) abot. half past 9
o'Clock the Deceased was brought to the Infirmary
and reported to have fallen into a Mash Tub of
Malt and scalding Water at a Still House
near Battersea that every Means was used to
recover him but he was in such a State that
there was little hopes to effect and that about
half past Eight o'Clock yesterday morning
(the 23d. Inst.) he expired and this Depont
Deponentis clearly of Opinion that his Death
was occasioned by falling into the scalding
Water in the Mash Tub
